Professional Experience |
1978 - 1990: Lecturer of Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE).
1990-1999: Doctoral studies and postdoctoral research, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU) (sent by HNUE to MGU).
1999-2004: Lecturer of Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, HNUE.
2004-2011: Dean of Department of Analysis Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology, HNUE. The department then changed its research methods according to those of top world-class Universities: A strong research group within the Department was set up and grown. With Seminars chaired by the Dean himself (Prof. Nguyen Manh Hung), the group has gained reputation nationally and internationally. The department has trained nearly 80 masters, 14 PhD's (6 PhD's for the department itself), published more than 70 international high-profile scientific paper, directed 2 national-level projects, 2 NAFOSTED projects, and was awarded the Certification of Excellence 2006 - 2010 by Ministry of Education and Training.
2006-2007: Head of People's Inspectors, HNUE.
2007- 2012: Head of Office of Journal & Scientific and Technological Information, HNUE. Had been gradually transforming the Office according to international scientific journals' specialization, the Head (Prof. Nguyen Manh Hung) led the Office to make the Journal become one of the four leading scientific journals among those of all Universities across the country. The Journal was chosen by Ministry of Education and Training for investment in upgrading to ISI Scientific Journal standard.

More than 30 Masters, 09 PhD students (07 of them were individually supervised, 02 of them were primarily supervised): 06 PhD's successfully defended (acknowledged by the government), 01 PhD successfully defended (acknowledged by local Institutes), 01 PhD student completed his thesis, 01 PhD student completed 2 journals.

Collaborating and exchanging research experience with: National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU - Taiwan), Pusan National University (PNU - South Korea), Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU - Russia), Voronezh State University (VSU - Russia), University of West Georgia(UWG - United States); Bharathiar University (BU - India), Göttingen Mathematical Institute (Germany). Co-organized many international conferences and was invited to present in international conferences in France, Germany, Taiwan, National Conference of Mathematics.
